» Archived information « If you're looking for original art in Yorkshire, I'm afraid you've missed this opportunity to view it at this gallery.
Check my exhibition programme or my gallery list for where my art is currently, or soon to be, on show.
What follows, is old information written at the time of the exhibition…
April 2023: I'm aware some of this information about Burton Agnes Hall & Gardens is out of date. Please check with their website, easily found by searching on the venue's name.
I'm not even sure the gallery or the artist residencies are still supported at the venue.
Parking & opening times
Free parking and entry to the courtyard containing the gallery, shop, plant stalls and cafe.
Opening times: Hall, gardens, cafe, Courtyard Gallery are open from 11am to 4:30pm each day (May opening times which could be out of date now.)
Where is the Courtyard gallery?
Burton Agnes Hall & Gardens is in the village of Burton Agnes on the main road (A614) to Bridlington from the West. The village is just over six and half miles from Bridlington.
If you're on the main road, the turning to the hall sneaks up on you a bit, so slow down on your way through the village or you'll miss it!
On the North edge of the village is the large free car park for the hall. A short walk from the car park past the church, down a wide gravel path, takes you into the pleasant courtyard.
It's free entry here, with a cafe, a shop, plants to buy and the courtyard gallery immediately on your right. If you decide to visit the Hall and its lovely gardens, which I highly recommend, then normal ticket prices apply, payable in the entrance opposite the gallery.
There are tables out in the courtyard which on a sunny day makes a very pleasant place to enjoy a spot of lunch, or just coffee and cake. Regardless of whether you go in to the hall and gardens, it's a lovely place to stop on your way to or from Bridlington or Flamborough Head.
